AEW Just Did It Again With The World Title

The AEW World title booking has been fantastic.

One could point to that opinion being a huge reason for the company’s resurgence.

Tony Khan made the decision to have the championship be everyone’s North Star. That strategy has paid off, allowing a plethora of top wrestlers to rotate around the gold axis.

Kenny Omega defeated MJF on Dynamite in thrilling fashion, with Will Ospreay denying MJF the opportunity to cheat his way to victory.

Some might complain that it’s the third title change in as many months. That’s not what AEW, or even WWE, usually does. You have to establish a champion to make the reign mean something, right?

But the way AEW has done it has been just right. Some matches have been predictable, some haven’t.

Each title reign has been different. From MJF’s antics, to Darby Allin’s sprint, to Omega’s redemption, they’ve all had a unique characteristic to them.

The crop of talent in contention has expanded, which only helps the variety. Aside from the usual players like Omega, MJF, Darby, Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland, people like Mark Briscoe, Kevin Knight, Andrade, and more have been positioned as legitimate threats to the champion.

Your preference for the All In match may differ (for what it’s worth, I’m old school and would have liked Ospreay vs. MJF), but the consistency with AEW’s title picture has been undeniable.

Ospreay vs. Omega at Wembley Stadium should produce another exciting chapter in one of AEW’s biggest success stories.
