AEW All In: Texas is set for July 12 at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
Here my predictions for what could be AEW’s biggest event ever.
The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta & Gabe Kidd) vs. The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs & Katsuyori Shibata) – AEW World Trios Titles
Even with the addition of Gabe Kidd to the lineup, it seems unnecessary to swap the titles here. The Opps have a lot of momentum, and they should keep that going in what was a recent addition to the card.
- Winners: The Opps
Kyle Fletcher vs. Adam Cole – TNT Title
I’ve seen the argument that Cole shouldn’t be losing the title this soon. That sounds great in theory, but the reality is that Fletcher is seen by many as a future world champion. This is AEW’s most noteworthy show of the year, and he should take a step forward towards that by winning the TNT Championship.
- Winner: Kyle Fletcher
JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Speedball Mike Bailey) vs. The Patriarchy (Christian Cage & Nick Wayne) vs. The Hurt Syndicate – AEW World Tag Team Titles
I’m not sure why this is such a divisive match for some people. The build to this one has been lacking, as I’ve found theJetSpeed stuff – them taking a beating for weeks, following it up with notes on the locker room whiteboard, and then trying to break Bobby Lashley’s leg – as sort of all over the place. I see more of an argument for The Patriarchy to steal the win than JetSpeed. However, The Hurt Syndicate shouldn’t be losing the titles yet, especially not in a three-way match where one of the other teams can win without pinning them.
- Winners: The Hurt Syndicate
Men’s Casino Gauntlet for a Shot at the AEW World Title
Since we don’t know all the competitors, these two Casino Gauntlet matches are difficult to predict. But if we look at potential options coming out of this, MJF or Mark Briscoe – the two men starting the match – make the most sense. MJF winning, and then winning the title in the future to build to a championship match with Briscoe is a great possibility.
- Winner: MJF
Women’s Casino Gauntlet for a Shot at the AEW Women’s World Title
I love the starting duo of Kris Statlander and Megan Bayne. Statlander has a better chance at winning, and she’s likely the favorite here. However, I’m going to stick with a scenario that fits what you want to achieve on such an important show: Give the fans what they want. A lot of them have been begging for Athena to be featured more on AEW television, and her winning in her home state to kickstart that would be a great moment.
- Winner: Athena
Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay vs. The Young Bucks
Normally stipulation matches are easy to predict. One of the stipulations is so unbelievable that you know how it’s gonna unfold. But give Tony Khan and company credit for these two believable stipulations. Swerve and Ospreay not going for the World title for a year seems unlikely, but there’s enough there to make you think it could happen. The same with the Young Bucks giving up their EVP titles. I know they are introducing a new title and could keep Swerve and Ospreay busy until next year’s All In, but the Bucks losing their power is the most win-win outcome for all parties.
- Winners: Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay
Mercedes Moné vs. “Timeless” Toni Storm – AEW Women’s World Title
Is Mone really going to win her SEVENTH belt? Spoiler alert: I think so. If Athena wins the Women’s Casino Gauntlet, Mone is the best choice. If Statlander wins the Women’s Casino Gauntlet, Storm is the best choice. I just think there’s more to work with for the Mone character to keep her streak going, while Storm once again reinvents herself to figure out a way to get her title back.
- Winner: Mercedes Mone
Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega – AEW Unified Title
I’ve also seen a split on this match. Some have been waiting for Okada to look like the NJPW Okada, and well, this is what you have been waiting for. Can they match the legendary results of their previous matches? It’s a tall order, but if anyone can, it’s these two. Omega being the man to hold the title first may be something AEW wants for the lineage of it, but I like a reinvigorated Okada who simply needed an old rival to bring the best out of him.
- Winner: Kazuchika Okada
Hangman Adam Page vs. Jon Moxley – Texas Death Match for the AEW World Title
Hangman is the only choice. It’s that simple.
- Winner: Hangman Adam Page
